WHAT TYPES OF LENS MATERIALS DOES LEVALENS HAVE?
Refractive index and Materials are two fundamental technical criteria to best meet the refractive needs, aesthetics and comfort of the wearer. Depending on eye level and frame shape, users can choose a suitable material. Each material will correspond to a different type of refractive index. The higher the refractive index, the thinner the lens.
Lenses with high nearsightedness will often be thicker in the rim area. On the contrary, lenses with high presbyopia are usually thicker in the center. Therefore, for people with high nearsightedness (from -4.00D or more) or high farsightedness (from +3.00D or more), they should use lenses with a high refractive index to ensure aesthetics. At the same time, it creates comfort and lightness when wearing glasses.

It is a material with average and basic index suitable for power ranges from Plano up to (±)4.00D. This index is used for Full frame or Rimlon eyeglass frames. Advantages: lightweight and reasonable price.

TRIVEX
The advantage is that it has very good optical transmittance, super light and elastic (does not easy break). Suitable for screw frames, sports frames. Lenses can withstand strong tension and impact. Very safe and protects the wearer’s eyes well. Recommended power range from Plano to (±) 4.00D.

MR-8
The index of this lens is higher than the index1.56. Therefore, lenses with index of 1.60 will be thinner and harder, better optical transmittance and 5 times withstand strong tension and impact compare to 1.56. Suitable for all types of eyeglass frames and power ranges from Plano up to (±)8.00D.

MR-10
This index is very thin lenses, can withstand good tension and hard. It will be thinner with the high powers lenses, especially the edges of nearsighted lenses and the center of farsighted lenses.
